History of Cookies & Castles

The Fort Worth Delta Delta Delta Alumnae Chapter launched the first Cookies & Castles event in 2001. This Gingerbread Decorating Extravaganza has since become a beloved holiday tradition in Fort Worth, bringing together friends and families for a festive celebration. The true beneficiaries of this joyful occasion are the patients at Cook Children’s Medical Center and deserving TCU collegiate women. We are proud to celebrate 2025 as the 25th year of “Cookies and Castles: a Gingerbread Extravaganza.” Over the years, the event has expanded to include four separate parties in Fort Worth and has even spread to other cities! Proceeds from Cookies & Castles go directly to supporting Children’s Cancer Charities within the Hematology Oncology Unit at Cook Children’s Medical Center. Since its inception, the event has raised over $1.7 million for Cook Children’s. Additionally, Cookies & Castles supports the Jean Wiggin Roach Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid to outstanding members of the Phi Lambda chapter of Delta Delta Delta at TCU.
